These Terms & Conditions apply to the Clean Skate app, developed by Alexander af Trolle. Clean Skate offers a free tier and may offer paid subscription features, including Clean Skate Pro.

By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Intellectual Property

The app, including its design, content, trademarks, and underlying intellectual property, remains the property of the developer. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, translate, or create derivative works from the app except as permitted by law.

2. Scoring Accuracy, Rule Validation, and Non-Affiliation

Please read carefully:

Non-Affiliation: Clean Skate is an independent software project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the International Skating Union (ISU), the International Olympic Committee (IOC), or any national figure skating federation.
Informational Use: The app is intended for educational and training purposes only. It is not an official scoring system certified by any governing body.
No Accuracy Guarantee: We aim to reflect current scoring rules, but scores generated by the app may not be complete, accurate, or identical to official competition results.
Use at Your Own Risk: The app may not account for every rule, deduction, edge case, or judging interpretation.

ISU rule validation is a planning aid based on entered information and supported rules. Validation results, explanations and automatic scoring adjustments may contain errors or omissions. A result showing no issues does not confirm compliance with all competition requirements. Users are responsible for independently checking their program against the rules and requirements applicable to their competition.

3. Subscription Services, Billing, and Renewals

The app may offer paid subscriptions, including Clean Skate Pro, which may unlock premium features such as an ad-free experience and advanced scoring or insights.

By purchasing a subscription through Apple App Store or Google Play:

You agree that the applicable store provider will bill your selected payment method.
Pricing, billing intervals, and any trial or introductory terms will be shown before you confirm your purchase.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple or Google account settings before renewal.
Apple App Store and Google Play, not the developer, control billing, payment processing, renewal timing, and store-specific subscription management.

We use RevenueCat to help validate purchases, manage entitlements, and support restore purchases. RevenueCat does not replace Apple or Google as the billing platform.

Deleting the app, deleting local data, or stopping use of the app does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

Where supported, you may restore a previous purchase on the same store account.

Refunds, billing disputes, and chargebacks for store-billed subscriptions are generally handled by Apple App Store or Google Play under their policies. Except where required by law, we do not guarantee direct refunds for store-billed purchases.

4. Modifications and Charges

We may modify the app and its free or paid features at any time. Any charges for paid services will be clearly presented before purchase.

5. Data and Security

To provide the app, we process data such as device identifiers, usage statistics, crash logs, subscription status, limited shared program data, and voluntary feedback. Installation-level identifiers may also be used where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, or misuse.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure. Jailbreaking or rooting your device may reduce security and cause the app to stop working properly.

6. Third-Party Services and Links

The app relies on third-party services that have their own terms. Depending on your platform and use of the app, these may include:

The app may also contain links or advertisements for third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

7. Connectivity and Data Charges

The app may not function properly without internet access. Your mobile carrier's data and roaming charges may still apply.

8. Limitations of Liability

The app is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for:

errors or inaccuracies in score calculations
loss or damage resulting from reliance on app data for competitive or professional purposes
bugs, crashes, or technical failures
billing issues, subscription interruptions, or entitlement delays caused by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, payment providers, connectivity failures, or platform outages

Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Updates and Termination

We may update the app at any time, including to maintain compatibility or reflect changes in skating rules. We do not guarantee immediate updates for every rule change. We may also suspend or terminate access to the app at any time.

If we discontinue a paid feature or subscription offering, we will use reasonable efforts to describe the change in advance, but store billing and cancellation mechanics remain subject to Apple App Store or Google Play processes.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Sweden, and disputes will be subject to the courts of Sweden.

11. Severability

If any part of these Terms & Conditions is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time by posting the updated version on this page.
